11/05/2009 - New Report Published on The Connected University

Michael Kitson, Director of the Programme on Regional Innovation was one of the authors of a new report published by NESTA titled "The Connected University"

In December 2008 Lord Sainsbury commissioned NESTA to explore how universities can support economic development.  The report argues that the way universities interact with businesses and regional economies has improved significantly over the last 15 years.

The report, through a series of case studies, identifies good practice in university-business collaboration. It demonstrates how these connections have evolved and goes on to make policy recommendations to support the growth of the Connected University and its role in driving regional economic growth.

The report authors are Michael Kitson, Jeremy Howells, Richard Braham and Stian Westlake.
