The Tech Ventures Conference (TVC) is the annual VC conference organised by Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC), a leading student-run organization at the University of Cambridge with a focus on technology venture capital. Started in 2004, the TVC aims to bring together leading venture capitalists and successful entrepreneurs from around the world to share their experiences and to discuss insights on technology investment and entrepreneurship. TVC has been held in London (2004, 2005) and Cambridge (2006). Previous speakers include Robin Saxby, Prof. Hasso Plattner and Sir Alec Broers.
The TVC 2007 will take place in Cambridge on the 5th June, at the University Arms Hotel.
Technology Showcase
The conference includes a technology showcase from some of the most promising local technology start up companies. The showcase will also feature the i-Teams Cambridge (www.cutec.org/iTeams), together with high-tech start-ups and finalists from some of the most recognized business plan competitions in the world.
Panel 1: Funding Early-stage Innovations.
Investing in innovations is both expensive and risky but necessary for industrial and business development. This panel discusses various aspects of funding early-stage innovations such as sources and duration of funding, as well as types of technologies likely to receive funding.
