This high level event, organised by the Cambridge-MIT Institute and Imperial College in London, will be attended by selected individuals and organisations that have a specific interest in the Transport Sector and understand the issues surrounding the use and application of mass data in a real time environment. These individuals will also have aspirations to bring about change and influence the future shape and competitiveness of the industry.
The purpose of this event is:
- To show people from industry, government and other organisations the advantages of federating data from diverse sources to their advantage;
- To give participants the opportunity to discuss how these technologies can be used to their advantage;
- To bring together Actionable Knowledge via Clusters of Excellence and to form conduits with organisations in which to transfer and transform their futures in the profitable use of data.
During this meeting, we will ask participants to think of new and imaginative ways to make use of data. We will ask them to discuss what the obstacles might be and why; how money can be made and where the private sector performs particularly well and; how to support potentially successful projects that at first appear less than good.
Our initial group will be based on a cross industry mix which will include Corporates, Industry leaders and Government who interface with, anddepend on,transport in one shape or another.
